Microtek ArtixScan 1800f Scanner utilizing silverfast



Scanners are used to create digital files from negatives (transparent sources) or other developed images such as polaroids (reflective sources)

Negatives are typically generated with the TEM.  Positive images are created on polaroid film with the biology SEM, which is currently non functional.

The Physics SEM is operational and produces digital images.

Photoshop can be used to resize images, crop and otherwise process the images into virtually any digital format.  The scanner is in the office of Tim Ford.  Please contact him to reserve time on the scanner and ensure he is able to offer assistance if needed.
